Meet Evan Funke

Evan Funke is a master of the old world techniques of handmade pasta. Funke’s singular passion as a pasta maker and chef was solidified in Bologna, under the mentorship of Alessandra Spisni at La Vecchia Scuola Bolognese. Widely known for his dedication to seasonality and warmth in hospitality, he brings reverence for the deeply rooted culinary traditions of Italy to his acclaimed restaurants – Funke in Beverly Hills; Mother Wolf in Hollywood, Las Vegas, and Miami; Felix Trattoria; and Tre Dita in Chicago. On the small screen, he has been featured in projects including Chef’s Table: Noodles; the docu-series Shape of Pasta; and the documentary Funke. He is the author of the award-winning cookbook American Sfoglino. Since 2022, Funke is currently the official chef of the legendary Vanity Fair Oscar Parties.
